There Goes My Baby....

I know he made his unofficial debut in one of my post but now I would like to officially introduce you to my baby Snickers.  I was never a dog person ever.  But then my mom called me one day and was like since I live alone I should get a dog. A friend of hers had just had a litter of pure bred yorkshire terriers and was giving away 3 of them.  My mom suggested that I get one.  I thought about and a decided why not.

Snickers Faucett was born on August 30, 2009, and I officially welcomed him into my home that December.  He took his first plane ride all the way from Mobile, Alabama to Brooklyn, NY into JFK.  It took some getting used to him in the beginning trying to get him on a schedule for walks and stuff, vet visits for his shots, but once I got into the hang of things we both adjusted well.  He is two years old now, a hott mess and extremely spoiled but I love him to death. Enjoy!

My Purple Passion

So I was going to a special event at I was in need of an outfit.  So I went to one of my favorite places to shop - Old Navy.  Low and behold I found a dress.  I loved it cause it was a great way to carry my maxi dress fettish into Fall and I absolutely LOVE the color.  The dress came with a belt that matched the dress but I decided to go with a thin patent leather belt to switch up the look. I went o H&M and found these really simple accessories to accent the dress.  I wore some platform wedges that I already had that matched perfectly but ended up in some patent leather flats that went with the outfit as well so comfort won over beauty LOL.  Also I have been dying to try a side braid and this felt like the perfect occasion.  All in all i was please with the final look and I got lots of compliments.  This dress also comes in a khaki color and I think i will be adding that to my fall wardrobe as well. :-)

Bloggers Do It Better Challenge

So since I am fairly new to bloggers and I am a member I decided to participate in this months bloggers do it better challenge.  This challenge proved to be a little difficult for me at first cause I couldn't find the right item.  But with the weather getting cooler what better item to pick up than a warm scarf that I paired with this light weight vest that is fall staple for me.  I look forward to future challenges.

Fall Fashion

So Sunday proved to be kinda chilly, Fall is upon us. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, I love the cool weather. I used this day to pull out one of my sweater jackets that I love. It so warm and comfy without being too bulky and the color pops. Thanks to my best friend and fellow blogger for taking these pics of me...first time taking pics at night.

Denim Blues

So I went out Friday night to hang out and then linked up with my best friend and her sister.  The went to the Chris Brown concert (sooooooo HATING) and then got a room at the Marriott across from the coliseum so they invited me to join.  It turned out to be a chilly and rainy night so the long dress was perfect.  This summer I fell in LOVE with maxi dresses and I love how they are comfortable and flowy and they accentuate my height (I'm 5'11).  I went with this all denim look.  Plus I just got my hair done and I was happy the curls were able to hold up despite the weather.  Fall is officially here and Im lovin' it!

Lady Like

So I have tried another color in my Essie Neutrals collection. Its called Lady Like...I thought that it was going to show up much darker but it kinda blends in with my skin tone.  Nice color but Im not completely in love with it.  I think I will do a polish change and use one of my pink Essie colors in honor of breast cancer awareness month.
