So one of my followers asked me to post a photo of how the Essie colors looked on my nails...so here you go.  I LOVE the color on my nails and I can see myself using this color very often, Im probably gonna have to get another bottle so I don't run out, LOL

Oh Navy!

So I am going try to post my outfits at least twice a week my best outfits of the week and then my Sunday outfit.  Now while this isn't my best outfit of the week, I still wanted to do a post.  This is not the best week for me so I went very casual.  I went with a classic while v neck tee and these great linen cargo pants.  Its time for me to get my hair done so I been rocking a french braid these days until I get it done (don't laugh) :-)

So now that summer is over its time (well at least for me it is) to put the bright colors away and get ready for fall.  I went to my favorite brand of nail polish...ESSIE!!!!   They always have the best colors whether you like matte or frosted (I prefer matte colors) and they always have the coolest names for their colors.  Here are just a few of the colors I have picked up so far.

Sunday's Best

So Fall is here and I am wearing one of my favorite colors - BROWN.  I love brown because it is neutral like black and you can pair it with so many colors.  Today I went monochromatic and wore all brown but just a hint of color in my shoes.  These one one of my favorite pair of wedges that I have and they are very comfortable because of the platform in the front.  I saw these in Nine West and loved them so much that I had to buy both colors that they had.  I love the colors in these shoes (chocolate brown, fuchsia and purple).


I am gonna try to remember to post more of my outfits now that Fall is here cause this is one of my favorite seasons (other than Spring) cause its not to hot, not too cold and you can layer....Enjoy!

Family Reunion Looks

So I didn't post any pics of my outfits from my family reunion back in July. I didn't take as many pics as I wanted but I did manage to take a few. i attended a few functions. I went to a meet and greet, where I wore a black tube dress. We went to a fun park where I wore a denim skirt and tank top. My favorite outfit of all was the blue empire waist knit dress my mom had made for me and the blue shoes with the bow that I found at the outlet mall that matched it perfectly. I'm going to start posting more pics of my outfits as I'm in the process of a style transformation and I need to get a tripod for when I don't have someone to take the pics for me..

Thursday with a twist of Orange

Last Thursday I got the best surprise ever.  I went to meet my 'Special Someone" because he needed me to run an errand for him.  I went to his job to pick what he needed me to drop off and when I got there he had gotten me these BEAUTIFUL orange roses.  I was so surprised!!!  When I was going back to my job everyone was complimenting me on how pretty the roses were and coincidentally they matched my dress.  I love surprises and this was a GREAT one!!

So normally I hate the beach cause I am very self conscious about wearing swim suits. But this summer I threw caution to the wind and broke out one of my bathing suits and had a fun day at the beach. I usually just wear shorts, a sports bra and a t-shirt because I feel weird about wearing a bathing suit. This day I went with a multi-colored one piece and some black shorts as a cover up. I also have been trying to find the perfect orange to rock this summer and I finally did and of course its by Essie. My best friend and fellow blogger, Just Jarette, took some great photos of me. I love them...They even earned me a spot as her curvy figure of the week... ENJOY!
